The Straits Times Singaporean of the Year is an annual award honours and celebrates ordinary Singaporeans and local unsung heroes whose outstanding acts of goodwill, ingenuity and selflessness have improved the lives of people in the community.

It was started in 2015 to recognise remarkable leadership, courage and compassion and pay tribute to those who care for, serve and inspire others to uplift the human spirit.
